Yenagoa - No fewer than 2 000 kinsmen of former deputy governor of Bayelsa State and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Werinipre Seibarugu have defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reports Punch.
They defected at a campaign rally held in Gbarain and Ekpetiama clans of Yenagoa Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Seriake Dickson and his campaign team were in the communities in continuation of their campaign tour of the state.
The defectors commended Dickson for his leadership and efforts to change the fortunes of the state from the situation he inherited to a promising one and declared that he deserved to be re-elected.
They pledged their support to ensure that the people vote en-masse for the governor at the December 5 election.
