Osogbo - A member of the House of Representatives, Ayo Omidiran has dismissed insinuations that the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC),Bola Tinubu, would leave the party for another political party, reports Punch.
She also said Tinubu’s strong allies like the Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, and other associates, would not leave the APC which they sacrificed so much to build for anybody.
Omidiran, who represents Ayedaade, Irewole, Isokan Federal Constituency of Osun State under the platform of APC, said other politicians could choose to leave the APC, but not Tinubu and his associates.
Omidiran admitted that the APC had its own issues, which were being addressed.
She did not go into specifics, but stated that whatever were the issues, they were not enough to break the party into fragments.
There were insinuations that the APC national chairman was planning to float a new party.
Those alleged to be floating the new party alongside Tinubu include former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and some leaders of the Ahmed Makarfi- led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
