Akure - Less than 48 hours to the All Progressives Congress governorship primary election in Ondo State, two candidates seeking the party's ticket have announced that they are withdrawing from the race, reports The Nation.
The two aspirants said they are stepping down and backing Dr Olusegun Abraham in the primary.
The two aspirants are Akinnola Akinyinka (Ondo Central) and Dr Paul Akintelure(Ondo South).

Abraham is the candidate of the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu.
Before stepping down for Abraham, the two aspirants had condemned the decision of Tinubu to impose a candidate on the party.
The aspirants according to News 24 had said such imposition by Tinubu was wrong as it would disrupt the normal democratic process of electing candidate for the party for the November 26 governorship election.
