Abraham is the candidate of the national leader of the party, Bola Tinubu.

Before stepping down for Abraham, the two aspirants had condemned the decision of Tinubu to impose a candidate on the party.

The aspirants according to News 24 had said such imposition by Tinubu was wrong as it would disrupt the normal democratic process of electing candidate for the party for the November 26 governorship election.
