Wada taunts Audu over Buhari’s absence at APC rally

19 November 2015, 18:11

Lokoja -  Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State on Wednesday taunted  his rival in the November 21 governorship election, Abubakar Audu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), reports NewsDay.

Wada mocked Audu over the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari at the grand finale of his campaign rally in Lokoja on Wednesday.

Wada said Buhari’s failure to attend the rally had reinforced the belief of the electorate about the seriousness of the current administration’s commitment to the fight against corruption.

Wada in two separate statements by his Chief Communications Manager, Phrank Shaibu and Special Assistant (Media and Communication), Jacob Edi, said Buhari’s refusal to identify with Audu will go a long way to send the right message to Nigerian youths that the current administration would not want to have anything to do with those who steal or mismanage public funds.

He said he is now more re-assured of the determination of the APC-led federal government to fight corruption to a standstill.

Buhari had sent Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo to represent him at the rally.
