The impeachment was said to have been carried out around 10.30pm in a residence of one of the aggrieved lawmakers.

Sources within the Assembly said the lawmakers impeached the two principal officers because they have failed to fight for their interests with Governor Olusegun Mimiko.

The aggrieved lawmakers accused the Speaker and her deputy of being stooge of Mimiko.

It was gathered that the lawmakers are being owed three months salaries.

They also don’t have official cars while some of them have no living quarters
