06 November 2015, 16:05

Port Harcourt - Gov. Nyesom Wike of Rivers State on Friday fired his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Opunabo Christian Inko-Tariah, reports NewsDay.

Inko-Tariah was relieved of his appointment over comments he made denigrating the Nigerian judiciary.

Inko-Tariah had on behalf of Wike, while reacting to the ruling of the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal Holden in Abuja, which nullified the election of the governor, labelled judges judicial terrorists.

Wike later denied authorship of the statement.

Since the comment, Inko-Tariah was sidelined as he was not allowed to issue and sign press statements emanating from Wike.

Instead, Wike’s Special Assistant(Media), Simeon Nwakudu, signed on behalf of Wike.

Inko-Tariah is the publisher of Hard Truth newspaper, a weekly circulated in Rivers State.
