Abuja - The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has
expressed gratitude to members of the public for attending the thanksgiving service
held this past weekend in support of the endorsement of Governor Nyesom Wike's
Rivers PDP Chairman, Felix Obuah, expressed “boundless joy”
and “gratitude” over the attendance at Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The PDP Chairman particularly thanked the people of Rivers
State, the PDP faithful from the 23 Local Government Areas and the
non-indigenes who defied hot conditions to attend the PDP-organised event.
He also appreciated the attendance by the National Chairman,
Alhaji Ali Modu Sherriff, the Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, and members
of the National Assembly led by the Minority Leader, House of Representatives,

“The party in the state is proud of the national leaders and
will continue to support all programmes and policies of the party aimed at the
development and successes of the party at the state and national levels,” Obuah said.
He commended Wike, for all his support leading to the
success of the party and the event.
Obual commended the Supreme Court for the ruling.
The rival All Progressives Congress had challenged the
election of Wike citing violence and vote rigging.
