You have mental problems, APC tells Wike

05 December 2016, 17:04

Abuja – The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has mocked Governor Nyesom Wike as suffering mental problems.

This is in the wake of tensions leading to the rerun polls this coming weekend.

The party mocked Wike, the People’s Democratic Party member, needed psychiatric attention saying his behavior and utterances lately did not present him “still in full control of his mental faculties.”

“Nigerians may have observed the distorted, uncoordinated and incomprehensible manner in which Chief Wike addresses the public these days,” said Rivers APC chairman, Davies Ikanya.

“This is perhaps an indication that he needs psychiatrist assistance as a matter of urgency before his case goes beyond remedy.”

Ikanya described some allegations of vote rigging, raised by Wike ahead of the legislative polls, as “symptomatic of a person in need of psychiatric evaluation.”

APC and PDP are sworn rivals in Rivers, a state that has suffered violence over the months.
