Abuja - A research study has found that Nigeria will soon overtake South Africa in cloud technology uptake as large investments are made in the sector.
The study was conducted among a small representive group of information technology companies from Africa’s largest economies by World Wide Worx and Cisco, Vanguard reports.
The study found that while currently lagging behind both South Africa and Kenya in cloud uptake, 44% of business will use the technology within a year.
This projection will see Nigeria’s current uptake of 36% overtake South Africa’s 50% by a considerable margin, the study found.
