Curtain comes down Lagos Countdown festival

30 December 2013, 11:09Henry Ifeanyi

Lagos - The ongoing Airtel internet exhibition has been hailed as a success.

The event, dubbed the Lagos Countdown Festival, ends on Tuesday at the Bar Beach.

The telecommunications firm’s exhibition, which gives subscribers the opportunity to enquire about internet offerings and has been running since the 8th of this month, will climax tomorrow with games as well as musical and dance performances.

Airtel’s Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director, Deepak Srivastava, who took senior state government officials on a brief tour around the company’s exhibition area, commended the political administration for its visionary leadership and laudable efforts to create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive in the State.

He also commended the Countdown initiative, saying it had brought excellence, quality and standard to the state.

“Airtel proudly supports the initiative because we are a brand that stands for quality and excellence. We believe in giving global standard and excellent service to Lagosians as well as all Nigerians,” he added.

He also noted that the countdown initiative had brought Lagos to the level of other countries such as Australia, United Kingdom and United States among others.
