Cybercrime features as stakeholders meet in Abeokuta

Abuja - Stakeholders in the media, technology and commercial sectors have converged in Abeokuta, Ogun State for the the inaugural conference of the Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN).

The theme of the conference is “Repositioning Centenary Brand to Align with Modern Ideals.”

The executive chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Lamorde, was expected to deliver a lecture on cybercrime and the management of the country’s image on Thursday.

The conference, which is first in its series, will feature papers on technology and the future of nation building and business development, which Victor Edoja, the head of corporate communications of  Zenith Bank Plc will deliver.

A paper on growing the economy through excellent financial services management will be presented by Nduneche Ezurike, the head of corporate communications of Mainstreet Bank.

Others topics Include retaining youth in an old brand (by Folake Alli-Mumuney, the head of marketing communications of First Bank of Nigeria Plc), branding national diet, building a bonded nation (Tope Ashiwaju, the public relations manager of Dufil Prima Foods Limited) and repositioning nigerian image through effective implementation of local content and manufacturing (by Anthony Chiejina, the head of corporate communications of Dangote Group).

The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) Chairman, Lolu Akinwunmi will serve as chairman of the occasion while special guests will include Bunmi Oke, the president of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Kola Oyeyemi, the president of the Advertising Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), Kayode Olagesin, the president of Experiential Marketing Association of Nigeria (EXMAN), Tolu Ogunkoya, the president of Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN), Chido Nwankanwa of the Public Relations Consultants Association of Nigeria (PRCAN) and Alhaji Garba Bello Kankarofi, the registrar  of APCON.
