Diamond gets top security certification

09 December 2013, 10:39

Abuja - Diamond Bank management assured its customers of the security of all transactions on its payment platforms during the festive season.

The company's head of corporate communications, Ayona Trimnell, gave the assurance while announcing the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification which the bank has received for its debit and credit cards.

The PCI DSS is a global security standard that helps to prevent card and data fraud by evaluating payment account data security and assessing an organisation’s network architecture, software design, security policies, procedures and protective practices.

Trimnell said the award would spur the bank to continue improving overall customer experience and foster an improved security framework for card-based transactions.

Trimnell said bank was pleased to receive the certificate after a very rigorous audit exercise and that it would further justify the award by making sure that customers enjoyed more secured transactions as the festive periods commenced.

“We are pleased to receive this award as it further demonstrates our unrelenting drive to provide unparalleled customer experience,” she said.

“For us at Diamond Bank, this certificate is not an end in itself as it will propel us to continuously evolve ways of not only satisfying our customers, but exceeding their expectations.

"As we enter the festive celebrations, Diamond Bank customers can be assured of seamless, secure card-based transactions with our numerous credit and debit cards,” Trimnell added.

Diamond pioneered online real-time banking in the country in 1992.
