Lagos - The international technology giant Microsoft and the United States Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering a free technology e-learning assistance to local small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The initiative aims to help the up-and-coming firms use technology to run and grow their business.
Through simplified online course series, Microsoft and SBA hopes to teach SME owners in Nigeria the benefits of using modern technology that could drive their success.
Speaking on the programme, moderator for SBA Community, Cecelia Tania, said that the free online business assistance would include three self-paced courses that covered basic technology tools and a range of technology-related areas that were vital to small businesses.
She added that each course gives tips on how to use modern technology and innovation in the day-to-day operation of a business.
“As a business owner, one can learn practical, relevant and easy to use approaches to save time and money, reach more customers, and take advantage of the current business software,” said Tania.
Some of the topics to be covered in the series to include desktop technology benefits, saving time using technology, using web-based services, reaching more customers by extending SMEs business online and managing their sales pipeline.
Certificates will be offered to participants after the online series.
