Starcom secures Etisalat, Nestle deals

30 December 2013, 13:03Henry Ifeanyi

Lagos - Etisalat Nigeria, the leading telecommunications firm, has announced a partnership with Starcom MediaVest Group as its media account manager.

Starcom Media which is a subsidiary of Publicis Groupe, the world's third-largest communications group, takes over the account from MediaReachOM.

Speaking on the development, Group Managing Director, Starcom Media, Ayo Oluwatosin, said the company was excited about working with Etisalat, taking into cognizance the integrity that characterized the pitch process.

“We look forward to a mutually synergistic relationship that would see the Etisalat brand become the market leader in the days ahead,” he said.

Confirming the Etisalat Media Account deal, Manager of Public Relations at Etisalat, Chineze Amanfo, disclosed that MediaReach was already winding down on the Etisalat business.

“The transition process is on. Starcom Media is billed to take over the business effectively from January 1, 2014,” she said.

Meanwhile, Oluwatosin hinted that his company would also take over the media account of Nestle Nigeria.

He said that Starcom would henceforth handle the entire planning and buying, as well as control operation for all the Nestle range in the country.
