Port Harcourt - No fewer than eight persons were killed on Sunday in Rivers State when gunmen invaded the Agbonchia market area in the Eleme Local Government council of the state, reports Newsday.
The gunmen stormed a place around the market, where people were washing motorcycles and opened fire on those in sight.
The assailants pretended as if they wanted to wash their bikes and then opened fire.

DSP Ahmad Muhammad, the State Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the incident said, the attack was related to cult activities.
He noted that those behind the attack have been arrested.
