Maiduguri - A suspected male suicide bomber blew himself up on Monday for fear of being arrested, reports NewsDay
The suicide bomber detonating the Improvised Explosive Devise (IED) strapped on his body to escape arrest after his co –travellers threatened to report him at a military checkpoint.

The bomber had boarded a commercial bus from a village to Maiduguri but other passengers became suspicious of his activities.
When his co- travellers were about to alert security agents at a checkpoint, he blew himself for fear of arrest.
Aderemi Opadokun the Borno Commissioner of Police, who confirmed the incident, said only the bomber died while one other person was injured and taken to hospital
