Lagos - Shooting Stars midfielder Raheed Olabiyi has joined
American Major League Soccer side, Houston Dynamos.
He will be joining the likes of compatriot Obafemi Martins
in the United States.
The MLS side announced they have secured the signature of
the highly rated Nigerian, who featured for Enyimba and then Shooting Stars
before sealing the deal with the Houston Dynamos.

“We're pleased to welcome Rasheed to the Houston
Dynamo," Dynamo Vice President and General Manager, Matt Jordan was quoted
in a press release issued by the club.
“He's been training with us and has integrated well within
our group. We look forward to seeing him continue to grow in our environment
and contribute to the success of the team as we begin the second half of our
season,” Jordan said further.
The 24-year midfielder played for former Nigerian champions,
Enyimba for seven years, having joined in 2007 as a 17-year old.
He signed for his hometown club, Shooting Stars of Ibadan at
the start of the 2015 season, before now making the switch to the United
Olabiyi, a central midfielder who can play both as a holding
and offensive midfielder, was one of the most highly rated players in the
Nigerian league, but never found luck with national team selectors.
