3SC's Ogunbote glad with result despite draw at home

22 June 2015, 10:13

Abuja - Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Shooting Stars Sports Club (Ibadan) were held at home by Enyimba Int'l (Aba) in a barren in NPFL match day 13 tie but the 3SC coach Gbenga Ogunbote has hailed the performance of his team despite sharing the spoils with the People's Elephant.
The former Sharks FC ( Port Harcourt) gaffer, Ogunbote who joined the Ibadan based club in a chat with News24 at the Lekan Salami, Ibadan showed contentment  but remained optimistic.
"We didn't do too bad except that we accorded Enyimba too much respect in the first half but during the break we told the team that they can get the  job done and I that showed in the second half. It was unfortunate that we just couldn't  convert the chances that came our way,"Gbenga Ogunbote told News24.

"We no doubt missed our point man, Junior Ajayi, the management did everything possible to make him play this important match for 3SC but we couldn't get our request granted," Ogunbote concluded
3SC will hit the road on match day 14 when they visit FC Taraba who now play their home games at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.
