ABS FC resumes training ahead new NNL season

04 December 2013, 18:00

Ilorin - Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC will resume training on Friday to begin preparation for the 2013/2014 Nigeria National League season.

The club got relegated from the Glo Nigerian Premier League last season after finishing 18th on the table with 50 points from 38 matches.

General Manager of the club, Alloy Chukwuemeka has therefore directed that all coaches and players of the club should resume at the team's playing ground at Kwara Football Academy by 7.00am on Friday, a statement reads.

Following the relegation of the club at the end of the 2012/2013 Glo Nigerian Premier League season, the team will now campaign in the NNL, and have been grouped to the Southern Division of the cadre ahead of the season.

The Ilorin club will no doubt lose the services of notable players who have teamed up with some Premier League Clubs.

Players, upon resumption, are to bring along with them training kits, as they will commence preparation immediately.

Chukwuemeka added that the immediate task at hand was to return the team to the elite league, even as he called for the support of fans and supporters of the club as well as the stakeholders.
