MILAN — AC Milan is on the verge of completing a loan deal for Roma and Italy forward Mattia Destro.
Destro was traveling to Milan on Thursday after agreeing terms with the club, which had already reached a deal with Roma.
The 23-year-old forward thanked Roma on social media, saying "I was a kid and you made me grow up," adding "now to Milanello for a new challenge, convinced and determined."

Destro was one of the best strikers last campaign with a goal every 95.2 minutes on average. However, he has struggled for playing time this season and has started just eight matches, scoring five goals. He also made eight substitute appearances.
