Abdullahi targets Europa League ticket

18 September 2015, 17:16

Lagos - Nigeria youth international Suleiman Abdullahi has told News24 he is hungry to help his club Viking FK seal a place in the UEFA Europa League next season.

The Dark Blues currently lies 3rd on the Norwegian Eliteserien table and are 12 points adrift of leaders Rosenborg in the ongoing campaign.

Abdullahi was on target last weekend in a thrilling 4-2 victory over Valarenga at the Ullevaal Stadion.

And his club will be at home to Strømsgodset on Friday 18th September.

“We simply need to be focused because we have entered the final bend in the league. I will keep scoring the goals, but my target is to lead Viking to a place in the Europa League,” Abdullahi told News24.

Abdullahi said that his team will have to work hard in the remaining seven matches because every match is now like a final.

The other Nigerian player featuring for Viking is Samuel Adegbenro.
