Lagos – Glo Nigerian Premier League debutants, Abia Warriors
FC, have unveiled former Flying Eagles Coach Ladan Bosso as the club’s new technical adviser.
Unveiling the highly experienced coach to the players,
management, board sports enthusiasts and supporters of Abia Warriors
at the Umuahia Township Stadium, the Chairman of the club, Chief Emeka Inyama,
said Warriors had always admired the technical quality of Bosso and was happy
to have him at last.
While describing the coach as one of the best in the
country, the chairman hoped he would bring his experience to bear and ensure
that Abia Warriors create an impact in its debut Premier League Season.
He commended Governor Theodore Orji for approving the
appointment of Bosso, who led Bayelsa United to the third position in last
season’s Premier League, as Abia Warriors technical adviser and promised that
the team will not disappoint him and their teeming supporters. He also added that his
contract is laden with lots of incentives in order to motivate the coach to
Speaking to the fans after his unveiling, Bosso said he came
to Umuahia to achieve success adding that he was happy to be part of Abia
Warriors FC despite qualifying Bayelsa United for the CAF Confederation cup.
The former Kano Pillars tactician, who is also the Vice
President National Association of Nigerian Coaches, said he has set a target for
himself in order to remain a role model to his colleagues across the nation and
solicited the cooperation of other members of the technical crew, the players and
the entire Abians.
