Adeniyi targets goal-king gong

Abuja - Laçi ‘game-changer’ Adeniyi James has added winning the Albanian Superliga top scorer award to his ambitions for the season.

The Freiburg-target has scored one goal in two appearances in the two-week old league season.

Adeniyi has one goal to catch up on Partizani forward Xhevair Sukaj who leads the chart with two goals.

The 22-year-old says he wants to help the current Cup champions to finish on top of the table at the end of the season. He admits he has his sights fixed on the league the top scorer award.

“The season’s top scorer? Why not! Of course, the team comes first, but I am very happy my goals were crucial in the previous campaign, this season I wouldn’t mind bringing it up further,” he told News24.

Laçi are on the road in the week three of the league season against Flamurtari Vlorë at the Stadium Shkumbini on 
Sunday 13th September.
