Akpom targets more goals after ending two-month drought

22 October 2015, 16:09

London - Hull City striker Chuba Akpom has set his sights on scoring more goals for The Tigers after ending a goal drought stretching back to August 8 on Tuesday night in his team's 3 - 0 thrashing of Ipswich Town in the Championship.

The England youth international was ecstatic after registering his name on the scoresheet for the first time in 12 matches but more pleased that Hull City secured their sixth win of this season.

''As a striker, when you score it is the best feeling,'' Chuba Akpom said to The Tigers official webpage.

''I hadn’t been on the scoresheet for us for a while so it was nice to be back on it and I think people could see from my celebration that I was happy. Hopefully there are more goals to come now this season.

''We got three goals, and the three points which was always the most important thing.''

Chuba Akpom will be hoping to increase his goal tally to four in all competitions on Saturday when Hull City tackle Viv Solomon - Otabor's Birmingham City at the KC Stadium.
