Lagos - Akwa United head coach Patrick Udoh has backed his
side to build on Sunday's victory over Sharks after the mid-season break.
The Promise Keepers returned 2-1 victors against the Blue
Angels in Port Harcourt, thanks to goals by rookies Godspower Aniefiok and
Udoh praised his side as they were without some of their key
players for the clash.
"We played with a depleted team as the trio of
first-choice goalkeeper, Femi Kayode, Ubong Ekpai and central defender, John
Aguda, were unavailable for this trip," he told SuperSport.
"It shows we have a rich squad and players who made the
trip have justified their presence in the team. We desire to maintain our
dominance, as it was in the early days of the season," he added.
The Uyo-based side are lying in seventh in the
table with 28 points collected from 19 outings.
