Abuja - Akwa United technical director, Charles Bassey, has denied being at fault for the resignation of coach Justin Tenger.
Tenger resigned shortly after steering the Uyo-based club clear of relegation from the Glo Premier League and cited the insensitivity of the club’s technical director as reason, SuperSport reports.
Bassey, however, said he maintained a healthy relationship with the manager up to his resignation.
He said he was surprised at the resignation as Tenger told him he would fulfil his contract before retiring to his home town.
