London - Alex Iwobi is back with Arsenal’s Under 21 team after there were speculations that he would be thrust into a first team role this season, having trained with the squad during pre - season training.

On Friday night, the 19-year-old was in action as the Arsenal Under-21s grinded out a 1 - 0 win over Fulham in the Under-21 Premier League game at The Emirates.

Iwobi did not get on the scoresheet but was involved in the game - winner netted by Gedion Zelalem four minutes from time.

''Good win Against Fulham , serious battle but we got through it. Happy to have an assist as well, '' said Alex Iwobi on Twitter.

Alex Iwobi went the distance against the Londoners while teammate Aaron

Eyoma made the 18-man squad but was an unused sub. The Arsenal Under 21 team tackle Derby County next Friday in the league.
