Abuja - Golden Eaglets coach Emmanuel Amuneke has admitted that the target is to
retain the FIFA U17 World Cup title ahead of the tournament which starts in
Chile next month.
The 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup starts on October 17 in the South American
country, which Nigeria participating as defending champions and Amuneke admits
the target will be to retain the title.
"Our target is to go there and retain the title we won two years
ago," Amuneke said. "It is normal that we expect to win it because we
are defending champions.

"We have been training hard and preparing the boys for the tournament
and gradually they are taking shape so we hope we will go there and win,"
Amuneke, a member of Nigeria's coaching staff at the last edition in the
United Arab Emirates, however admits it won't be easy for them to retain the

The Eaglets begin their challenge against the United States of America in
Santiago on October 17.
