London - West Brom striker, Victor Anichebe could be keeping
his phones closer to his reach as he expects one all-important call from
national team coach, Stephen Keshi, according to report on BBC.
There were reports that Keshi has expressed his interest to
recall Anichebe, who has been out of the team since 2011.
But the former Everton forward said on Tuesday he is yet to
be contacted by the coach.
Anichebe, who had earlier insisted he wanted to focus on
club duties following an injury in a 2-0 win over Madagascar in 2011, has now expressed
his willingness to return from exile.
After missing the 2010 edition in South Africa, Anichebe
said he will fancy a chance to represent his lovely country in Brazil as he
expects Keshi’s call.
