Anthony Ujah: This is my best ever pre-season

03 August 2015, 21:34

Berlin - Werder Bremen forward Anthony Ujah has reflected on his club's 2–1 victory against West Ham in their final pre-season fixture held at The Boleyn Ground on Sunday.

The three goals scored in the game came in a 12-minute spell in the first half, with Ujah finding the back of the net in the 20th and 31st minutes which took his tally in pre-season to 10 goals.

''At the beginning the tension was very high, we reacted quickly after conceding the goal and we kept on playing offensive football which is our style in the coming season,'' Anthony Ujah told news24.

''Both teams played good football until the end but no more goals.''

The Nigeria international is in the form of his life and did not waste time to admit that this is his best pre-season since he arrived in Germany in the summer of 2011 from Lillestrom.

''Yes it's my best ever pre-season and I am hoping it will help me during the season by the grace of God,'' he added.

The 24-year-old netted 10 goals in 32 Bundesliga appearances over the course of last season.
