Benin - Bayelsa United manager Solomon Ogbeide believes his side will improve markedly as the 2015 Nigeria Premier League season progresses.
The Yenagoa-based club began their league campaign with a 1-1 draw against Lobi Stars, coming from a goal down to earn a point.
However, Ogbeide feels that his players are capable of far better performances, and having started their pre-season preparations late, he expects them to improve in the coming months.

"My boys did not play well. I guess it is because it is the first game of the season and they have not peaked. The reason is that we had late preparation," he told the npfl website.
"We only had two weeks of preparation before the season opened. There was a change in the board of the club and I guess the new members had to also take time to settle in. We hope that as we go on the team will improve."For the latest on national news, politics, sport, entertainment and more follow us on Twitter and like our Facebook page.
