Beach Eagles not bothered about Abuja pitch

26 November 2013, 18:16Israel Ojoko

Lagos - Nigeria national Beach Soccer team, Beach Eagles are not worried over the decision to train at the FIFA Goal project pitch in Abuja ahead of the 2013 Copa Lagos Beach Soccer Tournament.

This will be the first time the team will train in Abuja ahead of a major championship.

Beach Eagles open camp on Wednesday November 27 in Abuja with 20 players already invited, and Coach Adamu Ejor said the new terrain is nothing to worry about.

“We are using Abuja Goal Project to test the facilities there, but we’ll head to Lagos on December 10 for the event”, he told News24 Nigeria.

“There is no problem about training in Abuja, we’ll still master the techniques of the game as we used to do in Badagry, Lagos and put in our best”.

The Copa Lagos Beach Soccer Tournament holds between December 13 and 15 at the Eko Atlantic City in Lagos.

Germany, Senegal and Lebanon are the countries that will participate at the 2013 edition of the tournament.
