Benjamin Francis moves to Sunshine Stars

27 June 2015, 14:44Soccer Laduma

Lagos - Heartland FC of Owerri left full back Benjamin Francis is now a player of Sunshine Stars of Akure, after signing the dotted lines for the Akure gunners last week.
The Fringe Super Eagles left full back returned to Heartland FC of Owerri this season after an unsuccessful loan to Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv, which was terminated before it concluded, owing to disagreement with the team technical crew.

This season at Heartland he has been sparingly used by the coaches and two weeks ago the CHAN bronze medallist moved to Akure, where he had a short training session with the team before signing.

However he is yet to feature for them since his signing as his registration is yet to be ratified by the League Management Company, which runs the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
In the past he has turned out for Niger Tornadoes and Nassarawa United in the local scene as well.
