Brace heroine Orji feeling motivated after super show

14 August 2015, 07:48

Abuja -  Ferencváros forward Ebere Orji says she is feeling more motivated after making a positive contribution to her team's 2-1 victory over ASA Tel Aviv in the second match of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

The former Bayelsa Queens and River Angels attacker was on target on two occasions as the Hungarians got their campaign back on track at the Sportpark De Vondersweijde on Thurssday.

The 23-year-old industrious forward spoke exclusively to News24 on Thursday night.

“After the 2-0 loss in our first match against Twente Ladies, the will and the ability to make a lasting impression was a big motivation for me,” Orji said.

“I knew it would be tough to bounce back against a team like ASA but I have always believed in God.

“I’m happy that I managed to make an impact in the game although I was not anywhere near my full potentials.

“But overall it was a great performance for me and the rest of the team.”

A win for Ferencváros kept them in third place on the log due to an inferior goal difference compared to ASA.

They will play against Jeunesse Junglinster in their next game on Sunday.
