04 September 2015, 18:02

Athens - Brown Ideye is happy to complete his switch to Olympiakos and has targeted a first-team shirt, having seen his playing opportunities limited at West Brom over the course of last season.

Indeed, across all competitions, the Nigeria international had only 18 starts to his name from a possible 45, with 13 of those games coming in the English Premier League.

''My first thought is to come here and play football, I enjoy playing football, so I am happy being here,'' Brown Ideye told the club's official website.

''I just want to enjoy playing football and I hope things go well for me and the club.

''I have received many messages from them (fans) on my official page and I want to tell them thank you very much and we have to work together and achieve what the club wants for everyone.''

The attacker cherishes the experience he got from playing in the Champions League with Dynamo Kiev and is looking forward to representing Olympiakos in this season's competition.

''As a striker you always want to score goals and make your team win, so I am happy to be here and can' t wait for the Champions League to start.

''I've been there with Dynamo Kiev so I know the feeling and I know how it is, I can't wait,'' the 26 - year - old concluded.

Brown Ideye made his debut for Olympiakos in their goalless draw with Asteras Tripolis on Friday afternoon.
