Abuja - The Club Owners have described the readmission of Giwa FC and Nembe City into the Glo Premier League as a welcome development.
Acting-Secretary of the Club Owners, Alloy Chukwuemeka while reacting to the development told journalists in Ilorin Monday that the entire club owners were very much excited by the recall of the two privately owned clubs.
He revealed that the club Owners were involved in series of consultations and mediations in solidarity with the two member-clubs and as such were very happy to see that they have returned to the league.
"We at club owners are very much excited with this development and I must say it is a victory for the entire league system. You are aware of the interventions we made in solidarity with the two clubs that are our members, through consultations, so we are happy for their re-admission," he said.
"As a responsible and responsive leadership, we will continue to advocate peaceful resolution of issues using all the available dispute resolution mechanism within the sports sector in adherence with the relevant status and extant Laws of football as approved by FIFA."
On behalf of the club owners, Chukwuemeka went on to commended the Aminu Maigari led leadership of the NFF, the Hon. Minister and chairman NSC Tamuno Danagogo, National Assembly committees on Sports, the sporting Media, LMC and other stakeholders who made valuable contributions in resolving the issue.
