London - English Premier League club Crystal Palace have announced on their official webpage that Shola Ameobi will not be offered a new contract.
The veteran forward penned a short term deal with the Londoners in the winter transfer market after mutually terminating his contract with Turkish First League side Gaziantep BB.
Shola Ameobi found playing opportunities hard to come by, with a paltry 38 minutes of game time under his belt over the course of last season.

Aside from a brief spell on loan with Stoke City back in 2008, the out - of - favour Nigeria international represented Newcastle United throughout his career before switching to Turkey in August 2014.
Shola Ameobi, a former England youth international, made the Super Eagles 2014 World Cup roster and played in games against Iran and Bosnia in the group stage.
The Selhurst Park outfit further revealed that left back Jason Akiotu, who plays for the Under 18 side, will remain on the books of the club next season.
Anglo Nigerian defender Mandela Egbo has been offered a professional contract.
