Cape Town - South African based intermediary Mohammed Lawal
is optimistic that Warri Wolves keeper Daniel Akpeyi will complete his move to
Premier Soccer League side Chippa United in the coming days.
''Daniel Akpeyi has been in South Africa since last week.
Warri Wolves are in talks with Chippa United and an agreement will be reached
very soon,'' said Mohammed Lawal to news24.
''The transfer can be concluded at any moment. The
International Transfer Certificate doesn't take a whole day to be issued.''

Having said that, the big news for The Chilli Boys faithful
is that the Nigeria international will not be selected for the game at Nelson
Mandela Bay Stadium (Port Elizabeth) against Kaizer Chiefs because he has not
been granted a work permit yet by the authorities.
''But it's impossible for him to make his debut against
Chiefs because there is also the issue of work permit that must be sorted,''
If the I’s are dotted and T's crossed, Chippa United will
officially announce the signing of Daniel Akpeyi on a two-year deal.
A product of Gabros International, the 29-year-old had stops
at Nasarawa United and Heartland before joining Warri Wolves in 2014.
