Lagos - Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club,
Sunshine Stars have maintained their top spot on the log after a convincing 3-1
victory over Akwa United in a week 15 tie at the Akure Township Stadium on Wednesday.
The Owena Waves midfielder, Adedipe Kehinde got his first
goal for Sunshine Stars in a competitive match and the very creative and
intelligent player who grew up in Akure to see his dream of wearing the Orange
shirt of Sunshine Stars come true spoke to News24 after the match.

"I feel so great and excited to have scored my first
goal on Wednesday and I'm dedicating it to God, my team mates, my family and my
fans all over the world,” an excited Adedipe said.
"I made my debut for Sunshine Stars in a State FA Cup
match against Desire FC, I came on as a second half substitute in March 2015
but I made my Premier League debut in Kano against El-kanemi Warriors where we
narrowly lost by a lone goal,” Adedipe explained.
The former ball boy at the Akure Township Stadium who saw
Sunshine Stars play as a young boy however told News24 confidently that
Sunshine Stars will lift the trophy this season.
"We are going to lift the League trophy this season and
compete on the continent come next season. Our current form is not a fluke, we
worked hard for it after all prayer pays. The team spirit is always high and
that makes me feel so confident that we shall be crowned League champions this
season by God’s grace,” Adedipe told News24.
