Abuja - Flying Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has hailed the team’s coaching crew after tutoring the side to win the 2015 Super Four tournament in Abuja.

Awoniyi was voted the tournament’s Most Valuable Player following a remarkable display.

Delighted at the feat, Awoniyi thank God and the coaching crew for his latest success.

“I give God the glory, It feels great whenever you won an award like that, it gives you the courage to do more,” he told News24 Nigeria.

“I give kudos to my coaches at the national team, because if not for them, there will not be improvement at all from any of us.”

He however recalls the game against Enyimba as the most difficult.

“The game against Enyimba was the most challenging at the Super Four, because despite our victory, their defense was the most difficult for us.”

The Flying Eagles continue preparation for the 2015 African Youth Championship.
