Dolphins defender promises better form

26 September 2013, 08:30

Abuja - Festus Austin, a Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt defender, on Wednesday said that his team were capable of raising their game in their upcoming Glo Premier League (GPL) matches.

Austin said in Lagos that Dolphins could prevail against Gombe United and El Kanemi FC in spite of their uninspiring performance against Kwara United.

Austin, who had been a live wire in the heart of Dolphins back all season, expressed the belief that the Port Harcourt side would end the season on a high note.

"I feel happy, but it was not easy. We met a very strong side. We were determined.

"I believe, when we got to the dressing room, our coach talked to us and we took his advice, at the end, we got the victory.

"We believe when we get to Gombe United and El- Kanemi, we are planning to get maybe at least two points out of those two games.’’

Dolphins started the 2012/2013 on a shaky note, but the Port Harcourt premier league side eventually improved their form

The team currently occupy the 8th position on the Glo Premier League standing, with 47 points from 33 matches.
