Ibadan - Sunshine Stars FC were handed a 2-1 defeat by host
Crown FC in a week 13 game of the Glo Nigerian Premier League played in Ibadan
on Wednesday, but not without drama.

put the ball behind the net in the 6th minute to take a 1-0 advantage into the
On resumption, Crown did not waste much time, as leading
scorer Bode Daniel extended their lead in the 48th minute.
But the visitors pulled one back with ten minutes remaining
to play to ensure the game ended 2-1 in favour of Crown FC.
The encounter was however drama-filled as fans of the home
team had refused Sunshine Stars team entrance into the pitch. Even during half
time, Ibadan fans threw particles (sachet water) at the visiting side, forcing Sunshine
fans to run from their sitting position, but armed policemen brought the
situation under control.
also learned that tyres of Sunshine Stars bus were deflated by angry home fans
who were said to be taking revenge for sister club Shooting Stars.
It could be recalled that Shooting Stars FC were heavily
punished last season for a trouble that broke out in Akure during a game
against Sunshine Stars.The Oluyole Warriors were however relegated and
are now playing in the second division - Nigeria National League.
