09 May 2014, 17:28Israel Ojoko

Abuja - One of the dropped players from the camp of the Golden Eaglets, Paul Obasi has sadly bid the team farewell as he took his exit from the their Abuja camp.

Coach Emmanuel Amuneke dropped four players on Friday - Kingsley Michael, Okonkwo Orji, Chibuzor Ibekwe and Obasi, saying “we won't condone indiscipline on the part of anybody."

Both Obasi and Ibekwe were magnanimous in praising the technical crew as well as praying for the overall success of the team in the days ahead.

"I want to thank you so much for the opportunity given to me," said Obasi who was sourced from Invisible Leopards of Badagry.

"As a human being, I'm not happy but I know what you have done was in good faith and for the good of the team; and I want to wish the team all the best in the future."

The four affected players in the meantime have since left the Golden Eaglets CJ Planet International Hotel Camp in Abuja.
