Abuja - Super Eagles goalkeeper trainer Ike Shorunmu has tipped
Golden Eaglets keeper Sunday Alampasu to make the final list to the 2014 FIFA
World Cup in Brazil.
Alampasu is one of four goalkeepers currently in Eagles camp
in Abuja as they intensify training for the 2014 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN)
in South Africa.
Shorunmu said he has been very impressed with the two new
goalies, Isah Danladi of Sharks FC and the Golden Eaglets’ Alampasu.
"They have been wonderful along with Dan Akpeyi and Chigozie
Agbim. They can even challenge for World Cup places, but it might be too early
in the day, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for now."
Alampasu won the Golden Gloves award after emerging the best
goalkeeper at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup held in the United Arab Emirates.
