Eaglets captain thrilled with reception

02 December 2013, 12:33Israel Ojoko

Lagos - Golden Eaglets captain Musa Mohammed is thrilled to be a guest to the governor of Kano state Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

The governor is set to host the victorious team that conquered the world to lift the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates in November.

Mohammed, who scored Nigeria’s third goal in their 3-0 victory over Mexico in the final on November 8, is also an indigene of Kano.

“I’m so happy about the development that our Governor too is hosting the Golden Eaglets for winning the World Cup,” said Musa in a statement.

“We are really looking forward to have our teammates as well as our officials in Kano on Monday and we hope the Governor would make us happy.”

The Golden Eaglets had been hosted by President Goodluck Jonathan, Cross River state governor Liyel Imoke and his Niger state counterpart Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu.
