Eaglets hail NFF

02 June 2014, 19:14Israel Ojoko

Abuja - Golden Eaglets coordinator, Prince Udofia has once again commended the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for organising series of friendly matches for the team.

The national Under-17 side completed a sequence of 12 matches in five weeks with a 3-1 win over their Egyptian counterparts at the weekend.

Altogether, the Golden Eaglets have won a total of 11 matches and the only loss being the 3-1 penalty-shoot out to Benin after a goalless draw at the WAFU B Tournament in Togo.

"We are very grateful to the NFF for ensuring that we are playing top friendly matches," said Udofia, who doubles as team Manager of Abia Comet.

"These matches have really allowed the coaches to assess the players under difficult match situation which is good for the overall progress of the team."

Meanwhile, the Golden Eaglets who returned to Abuja from Kaduna at the weekend resumed their routine training at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project Pitch as the technical crew cast eyes on the likely 35 players to be picked for the forthcoming closed-camping in Calabar.
