Abuja - The Golden Eaglets, Nigeria's men's U17 team, recorded a flattering 9-0 win against Team Nigeria UK A.K.A soaring Eaglets at the Abuja National Stadium on Wednesday, making it their 197th goal in friendly matches since 2012.
Emeka Ebere scored a hat trick and there was also a brace for Suleiman Abdullahi. Other goal scorers for the Eaglets were Chinedu Madueke, Kelechi Nwakali, Orji Promise and Gavi Thompson.
"The match was just another opportunity to test and evaluate our players as we build towards the World Cup in Chile but we are not bothered with the score -line," noted Eaglets coach Emmanuel Amuneke.
"It was good these boys came around from overseas and try to possibly find their way into the team and we are going to sit down and evaluate them."

Team Nigeria UK, according to Coach David Doherty, would hopefully put up a better performance in the next game fixed for the same venue on Thursday, adding that some of his boys were not at their best since this was their first time in the country.
Dignitaries at Wednesday's match were NFF 2nd Vice President/LMC Chairman Shehu Dikko, NFF Executive Committee members Ibrahim Musa Gusau, Felix Anyansi-Agwu, Ahmad Kawu and Ahmed Yusuf 'Fresh’.
Others were NFF Deputy General Secretary Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme, NFF Technical Director Shuaibu Amodu and U23 Team Head Coach Coach Samson Siasia, as well as former international players and Player's Union leaders Dahiru Sadi and Austin Popo.
