Ejiogu targets Nembe City

17 July 2014, 17:07

Akure - Enyimba goalkeeper Chijioke Ejiogu says his team will face embattled Nembe City with renewed confidence when the sides clash in the Round of 16 of the Federation Cup, Kick Off Nigeria reported.

Ejiogu's penalty saving heroics helped Enyimba overcome a very stubborn Niger Tornadoes side in the previous round, but the 'Arugo Monkey' is hopeful his team will seal the win in regulation time in today's game, which is billed to take place in the Dapo Dina Stadium in Akure.

"As it is, I would be looking forward to the next game against Nembe City with renewed confidence because as a team we have done well. Penalties are always difficult but I studied their players very well and dived the right way.

"I hope that in our next game we win it in normal time but if it goes to penalties, no problem, I would be ready to save more kicks," Ejiogu told Enyimba's official website.
