Abuja - Crawling El-Kanemi Warriors (Maiduguri) will hope to get back to winning ways when the Desert Warriors host Dolphins FC (Port Harcourt) in a week 15 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.
However El-Kanemi's target has suffered some setbacks as their captain, Bamai Bukar is out due to injury he sustained in their last match against Giwa FC in Kaduna while the team's top scorer, Ibrahim Mustapha is out due to the accumulated cards.
El-Kanemi Warriors defence has conceded seven goals in two matches scoring just two goals in the process while Dolphins are high on confidence after an unexpected come back against Kano Pillars in Kano.
The Media Manager of El-Kanemi, Anthony Obaseki informed News24 on the latest in the camp of the Desert Warriors who will be at their adopted home, Karkanda Stadium, Katsina.

"We will be missing the services of our captain, Bamai Bukar and the team's top scorer, Ibrahim Mustapha due to injury and accumulated cards respectively. But I can state here categorically that their absent won't cause an alarm because Ifeanyi Mathew who was part of the Flying Eagles to FIFA World Cup and Abraham Audu who didn't play last weekend have been called up to replace them," Obaseki told News24.
Meanwhile the weakest link in the team, the defence has gotten a boost as John Daddy has confidently stated that he and his colleagues won't allow Dolphins FC strikers enjoy any form of expression.
"I'm not underlying Dolphins FC, they are a good side but I'm sounding a warning note to their strikers not to come near our defence because we are like wounded lions and we are ready to roar," John Daddy stated.
