Emenike Fails To Rescue Al-Ain From Defeat

27 September 2015, 19:42

Abuja - Emmanuel Emenike scored a 65th minute goal for his loan side Al-Ain but, it wasn't good enough to help them pick up a point as they lost 2-1 to Al-Wahda.

Emenike on for the entire duration of the game watched his team concede two goals in each half before reducing the deficit for his side with a low shot.

The 28 year old who joined the UAE side on loan from Fenerbache as a replacement for Ghanian striker Asamoah Gyan, has so far scored three goals in his first three games of the season.

He appears to be recapturing the form that made him a hit in the Turkish and Russia league in Dubai, news which will please the hearts of Nigeria football followers.

Last season in the Turkish league he scored just four times for Fenerbache in a troubled season, that saw him try to substitute himself by walking off the pitch in a game against Besiktas after being booed by fans of his own team.
